Welcome to The International Federation of Training (IFT). The IFT Mission Statement reads as follows: The purpose of IFT is to facilitate the alignment of professional trainers around the world in the ethical and professional use of skills through the standardization and continual improvement of the IFT
Pursuant to the conduct of this mission IFT has formulated a Code of Ethics and a set of Standards for Trainer, Master Trainer , Coach and Trainer and Master Trainer Trainings. To prepare Trainers and Master Trainers to meet IFT,s rigorous standards, IFT conducts International Trainer and Master Trainer Trainings every year in several locations around the globe.
If you are interested in being part of IFT , then you must attend one of the IFT Trainer or Master Trainer Trainings and go through the testing process. This is the only way that IFT can be guaranteed of your ability to conduct trainings that follow the IFT Standards and that you are in alignment with the IFT Code of Ethics. IFT realizes that you may already be certified as an Trainer and may have been training successfully for years. You are to be congratulated on this accomplishment. Nevertheless, if you want to be part of IFT it will be necessary to attend an IFT Trainer or Master Trainer Training and be evaluated. To do so is in no way a reflection on your ability or competencies. It is the only practical way that IFT has to determine your qualifications and your alignment with the IFT ideals. In fact about 10% of the participants in our trainings are already certified as trainers and want further to upgrade their skills and to align with IFT.
IFT has members on all five continents who have agreed upon Certification Standards in the Training of Trainers . All of its members are Trainers who have graduated from the most rigorous Trainer Training available. They have agreed on standards of ethics, professionalism and competence in the training . Their syllabus for Trainers and Master Trainer Trainings is updated yearly and includes both the classic and new cutting edge developments .
